If the Articles of Confederation were a “failed document”, why is it that today we are casting legislation to add most of the tentants of it to the Constitution?

The first 8 Presidents of the USA (prior to George Washington) were president under the Articles of Confederation. Read them, know them and understand that as then, today the debate rages as to whether we are and should be an ownership society, self determining, self governed, in a nation of sovereign states with strong local government and a small weak central government vs those who believe that we are esentially subjects of a strong central government, elected by the people to act for us, regardless of the state and people’s will, the powerful central government’s power over powering that of the individual citizens.

George W Bush believes in an ownership society. His campaign for a second term and his inaugural address echoed his ferverent belief in that tenant. See my piece above titled GW’s second term.
