Why Do We Select the Hardware
That We Trust
for
Your Security & Safety?

Integrity Protection Service believes that we all have a stake in the survival and economy of this great nation. That is not to say that we “Buy American” just because, but if there is a comparable, reliable product offered in a competitive market, by an independent business (especially USA based), we will support them. Why? Because it is the independent and small businesses that have brought us nearly all of the innovation. Moreover, they are also close enough to touch; normally we can actually talk with them, not an agent representing them in the USA. This is really important when it comes to long term service, maintenance and reliability.

These companies are more in touch with their end users and dealers. They are often more responsive to the needs and demands of the industry and more likely to take input and suggestions making their products better and more functional for you as the end user.

We choose NAPCO Security Products as our primary residential and commercial burglar alarm control panels. Although we are fully capable of supporting your DSC, ITI, Ademco, Honeywell and other panel without an issue, we have over 30 years of experience with NAPCO and have dealt extensively with their management, development and technical personnel on numerous jobs. We have had nothing but success and unrivaled support. They have earned our respect and we are proud to install their systems. Integrity Protection Service installed early NAPCO panels in the late 1970's and a few are still in use and working flawlessly today. NAPCO even maintains a parts line for these old systems, for us that is the way that we do business.

Integrity Protection Service proudly services many of our customers for over 15 years. We are invested as partners with you for the long haul, not by threat of a law suit of death grip contracts but by earning your trust and loyalty.  We believe that NAPCO shares our values.

Why not Ademco, DSC, ITI or others? The answer is simple we believe that when the manufacturer owns the alarm panel manufacturer, the distribution chain, and their largest installing dealer chain it is a conflict of interest. Only the company wins, when there is a conflict of interest in the selection of equipment for a client the client suffers, every time. Here is the company connection breakdown;

  • TYCO
    • ADT (Installer)
    • DSC (Burglar Alarm Mfg)
    • Sensormatic (EAS)
    • Kantech (Access Control)
    • American Dynamics (CCTV)
    • TrueVue (CCTV)
    • ProxMex (CCTV/Facial Recognition/ Surveillance)
    • Visonic (Intrusion Detection Devices)
    • Simplex / Grinnell (Fire Detection / Suppression Systems)
    • Ansul (Food Service Fire Suppression Systems)
    • In addition TYCO (Listed in its own acquisition report in 2003 noted its acquisition of:
      • Honeywell in FY 1998
      • SIEMENS in FY 2000
  • Honeywell
    • ADI (Alarm Distributor one of the largest in the USA 95+ locations)
    • Ademco (Alarm Panel Mfg)
    • System Sensor (Fire Detection Devices)
    • Fire-Lite (Fire Alarm Panel Mfg)
    • Silent Knight (Fire Alarm Panel Mfg)
    • Notifier (Fire Alarm Enunciator Device Mfg)
    • Gamewell / FCI (Fire Alarm Devices Mfg)
  • If TYCO "spun off Honeywell and Seimens" then why does their primary installation subsidiary continue to install Honeywell and Seimens product when they own competing product manufacturing products of their own? We find that troubling and the answer may lie in the interest of avoiding Taft / Hartley Anti Trust issues. In a world where people scream about Wal-Mart destroying local businesses they are mute about the way that TYCO and ADT have completely destroyed the independent alarm and security dealer industry. We have nothing against fair competition and making money in a free market system but knowing the connections between the manufacturers, distributors, and installing dealer chains remembering that you need to protect yourself from manipulative market forces would be well advised.

Integrity Protection Service purchases from and installs products from nearly all of the manufacturers listed above. There are many fine people who work and sell for those brands. We select them for their individual performance and value to our customers.  In the end of the day though we are left with the troubling concern when the distributor who is swaying the installer (independent) toward select brands of equipment when they are owned by the same company as the device manufacturer. In your business it would be considered a conflict of interest which is never good for you in the end. That is why, in whatever small and possibly futile way, we lean toward those who are still independent and interested in taking care of you.
