The CCMUA has been working on a plan for years to transport radioactive discharge (possibly carcinogenic) from the GEMS Landfill (an EPA superfund site) through the sewer pipes that run under Runnemede. There are alternatives that do not spread the risk to other towns like ours. The NJ Environmental Federation has worked to build opposition against the plan. Read about it and pitch in.
